CALENDAR PHOTO SUBMISSION

PNH400 will celebrate 2023 with a commemorative wall calendar to showcase the work of our talented pool of local photographers. Hey that's you! Submission is free, and you may submit as many as ten photos for consideration. Our jury will pick thirteen images from the submissions, one for each month, plus one for the cover. Selections will be announced in July of this year. Yeah, there will be a press release. Yeah, probably anyone who sponsors us will get a copy. Or five. And they'll be for sale once we get our Merch Machine rolling, on line and at events and you name it. Write your name into Portsmouth history!

GUARDRAILS
Please submit images that display quintessential and/or iconic Portsmouth scenes (places, events, etc.). Note our tag line is “History lights our way” so our selections will pay particular attention to the play of light on the subjects. We're looking for a sense of place; identifiable Portsmouth spaces, places, and seasons. Try to avoid images of advertising and individual business signage, these will likely be de-prioritized by the jury, but hey we understand a picture of Gilley's is probably going to Gilley's sign in it. If the image is good enough, exceptions will be made. Also, please keep it local. Portsmouth is 15.7 square miles of land and two square miles of water. Find your shot within those boundaries and send to us with the information below.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE JUNE 30, 2022

Images must be color, landscape oriented, no less than 12x9 inches at 300DPI and taken recently, during 2021 through June of 2022.

Note that not all images will be used for the calendar.
Submissions must be created and owned by the submitting artist.
By submitting photos the artist guarantees PMH400 non-exclusive publishing rights thereto, and agrees that the images may be used by PNH400 for social media, website, and in printed and online calendars, and other collateral. Credit will be given wherever your photo is used.
